End Of February Shed Antler Update

The last of February is usually the time most shed hunters start their searches. However, as of Valentine’s Day, some mature bucks still had both sides in place. This time of year bucks ae losing their headgear in thickets near bedding areas. Another great place to check for sheds is on both sides of ditch crossings where the deer have to jump across. Fence crossings are also good as are trails that cross roadways. Any place that naturally cause deer to jump is a great place to find a shed knocked off when they land. If you’re in Pike County, IL  shed hunting, why not take advantage of our outstanding accommodations At Butler Farms Lodge.
